
SchultzeWORKS designstudio is an innovative design firm employing hi-tech design and visualization techniques to a wide variety of projects. The firm was founded in 1997 by David Schultze, an award-winning architect who decided to expand his design talents to include consumer electronics, housewares, furniture and lighting.
Dave Schultze is an industrial designer, educator, and notorious 3D-geek. As an industrial designer, he has developed products for Microsoft, LG, Umbra, and Hasbro. He has won multiple industrial design awards, with work being recognized in media coverage worldwide. Most recent is the “Philco PC” concept computer, which has been published in over 20 magazines.
As a dedicated educator, he has taught a ‘3D visualization’ class at OTIS College of Art and Design in Los Angeles for the last 10 years. In recognition of his unique design, technical, and communication skills, Dave has been contracted by Fortune 500 manufacturers to train, as well as inspire, their own staff with the latest in 3D design tools.
In 2008 Dave was awarded the Digital Training in Education Grant by OTIS and established the website Professor3D as an effort to share with other designers interested in digital design tools. All lessons are available for free. In 2010 Dave was contracted by the prestigious online training website www.lynda.com to develop their first course for Rhino 3D software.
Dave Schultze earned a Masters of Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA in 1997 and a Bachelors of Architecture Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1987. He also holds an Architectural License from the State of California, active since 1990.
